Kalalau Valley from Pu'u o Kila Lookout, a popular photo vantage. We had to hike to this spot over a closed road in Koko'e State Park. Note the 'ohi'a lehua (metrosideros polymorpha) tree in the foreground. This tree is endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. I note this because I have seen only one of these trees in San Diego, and it's in our back yard.
